Our Club
The discussion has been that we are organized into a loosely assembled club of net regulars and folks that monitor the repeater; not necessarily all of the time, but at times. There are currently no membership dues. We are 1.25-meter band enthusiasts. We would like to promote the use of the 1.25-meter amateur radio band, bring awareness to its existence and share with other amateur radio operators the merits of the band.
If you wish to join you need not mail any forms or send any money. Simply join us during a Friday night net and tell the Net Control operator that you would like to become an official members of the PTBN club. Perhaps we will evolve into creating a more formal process in the future. |
Do you go around talking about 1.25-meter amateur radio? Ever? Are you concerned that the FCC might take more of it away, or even all of it? Well join the club! We want to do more to keep this valuable and unique amateur radio band and share it with the ham community.
Once someone really gets fired up and decides to take the lead on this, we might assemble a membership list, an email group, or something more significant. Give it time, this thing has experienced steady growth since started in 2016. Your participation is very exciting as you can help us promote the band!
